Jailen is a typical 12-year-old girl. With a happy home and loving parents, Jailen would seem to have not a care in the world. Until bedtime, that is. She is terrified of the dark, and even at 12, she must sleep with the lights on. But Jailen is about to enter the darkness, and she will learn that what really lies in the dark is far more terrifying than anything she could have dreamed, and it will take more than she ever knew she had to survive.
